Deb is excited to join the Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust’s Health Works team and is very much looking forward to supporting participants on their journey to employment.

Deb has a background in several sectors including higher education, financial services and publishing and will draw on her extensive experience including recruiting, developing and mentoring team members, advising business school applicants and supporting partner institutions in their recruitment efforts to provide guidance on everything from application writing to interviewing to identifying transferable skills.

That’s not all though: Deb is also in fact one of our very own success stories. At the beginning of 2021 Deb lost her job due to the pandemic and was mortified when people kept referring to her ‘early retirement’. Despite not having any background in the healthcare sector, Deb was attracted by the idea of working for the NHS and thought that the NHS might be the sort of organisation that values people whatever their background, age, ethnicity etc. She joined one of our open days, was accepted onto the programme and started her journey of discovery about opportunities in the NHS.
