Cornwall Council – Health Works for Cornwall has partnered up with Phoenix Services to deliver a 5 day program at Truro Fire Station this month.

The program aims to raise aspirations, improve teamwork and communication skills.

During the programme you will have an introduction to Phoenix Services and Cornwall Fire and Rescue, taking part in basic fire activities.

You will gain a recognised First Aid qualification, work alongside other participants in a number of team building and problem solving activities.

At the end of the week there will be a celebration of your achievements! Friends and family will be invited to attend a final presentation at which you will take part in a practical fire drill, demonstrating how well you have worked during your week in achieving your goals.

The Health Works for Cornwall team attended a taster session in Truro last December. The team had an amazing experience from marching, assembling the hydrant, hose running, team building tasks and much more. It was an incredible confidence building experience and can be tailored to all needs. The Phoenix team are welcoming, funny and most importantly friendly. Take it from someone who attended the day session, you are going to love every moment and wish to go back again.
